It happened a couple of weeks ago: birdsong, high and bright in the middle of the day. A splinter of promise. Spring, on its way.
Three seasons have passed since
and I started our yoga and creative writing workshops, then at the Chelsea Physic Garden, on a bright summer’s morning. These sessions, which are free for savour members, combine an accessible, thoughtful yoga practice from Erin, with an equally accessible creative writing workshop from me. Since the winter, we’ve moved the whole thing online and made it available for members to watch either live or when it suits them. An hour of moving, thinking and writing, just for you. This time around, we’ll be concentrating on making space, on working out what serves us, on making sure we can harness that as we emerge out of winter. The next one will be taking place on March 12, at 12pm GMT. The full recording will be sent out shortly afterwards. To attend, you simply need to put it in your diary and join the Zoom call - we’ll send the link around a couple of days before - or tune in when it suits afterwards. You can do as much or as little of it as you like, as often as you like.
Stretch. Breathe out. Smell the new things in the air. The sap is rising.
tasty morsel of the week: re-bingeable tv
I’m a person who watches, at most, a couple hours of TV a week. So to be re-watching something when I’ve barely touched the sides of Dark Horses or Amandaland (didn’t find it funny, soz) or Squid Game is bold. But the third season of Hacks is finally available in the UK through Sky/NowTV (both have horrible web interfaces, I know) and I’m rewatching it from the beginning with M because, well, everyday romances need to be observed. A fractious intergenerational odd couple trying to make feminist comedy in Las Vegas. Delicious. It’s just as good second time around.
I'll be 37 weeks pregnant on the 12th of March, so looking forward to using the session as a marker for that and time to reflect! (and the arrival of spring)
Looking forward to 12th March Alice, it’s so fabulous that you can send these on for us to watch in our own time when we can, rather than missing out. Thank you. I love my Savour membership. Xxx
