It all started with Lily King’s Heart the Lover, which I was fortunate enough to get early and finished on the plane in a small puddle of tears. Granted, I was heavily pregnant and stuffed full of feels, but I don’t usually cry at things.

Anyway, when my best mate - a general good egg and working mother-of-two - posted on her stories the other day that she’d read it and she wanted other things like it, I sent her off a list. Then I thought that, actually, we probably all deserved a little list of books involving love stories that are delicious to digest at a time of Horrible News and Great Demands and Not Enough Sleep and Tremendous Heat. And here we are. Thank you to Anna for asking the question and thank you to Lily King.
