savourites #101
the barely made it edition
I’ve been trying to write a festive newsletter for the best past of two weeks now, but the combination of newborn, a small tidal wave of mucus entering the house, nursery closing and general matrescent overwhelm plus PTSD jangles means that it remains in slithers of drafts between my notes app and the purgatory of half-finished posts on substack.
But M has taken C to soft play (a genius idea: it will be deserted, what with it being Christmas Eve, and where better for him to bodywang all of his complicated new-sibling, first-conscious-Christmas feels out?), the roulade is in the oven, the baby is feeding, and so I thought I’d take the opportunity while it arose.
Before we hit the paywall: thankyou for your kindness, support and attention this year. God knows there have been easier ones as writers. I appreciate every single one of you, and wish you glimmers of merriment and brightness over the coming days.
Here we go: A seasonal savourites of some of the (better) things I’ve done instead of write a newsletter.
