I am loving re-living the early years through your writing (mine now teenagers). Just popped to say that another messy idea that will give you days of entertainment is to get the biggest plastic tray you can find from your local hardware shop, ideally with a lid for when you put it away. Put in on a large plastic sheet and fill it with fake snow - lots of recipes online - chuck in some beach toys for moulds. HOURS of peace guaranteed.
I’m sorry to hear about the bad news. In total agreement re: RATW - and can heartily recommend the old series - and hope you get a chance to enjoy the Jesus Green lido on your next trip to Cambridge.
I’m sorry for the bad news at your end. April is a complicated month for such things, bringing as it does the beauty of full flowering/leafing out of spring along with the ache of loss. I am too (twice) familiar with this combination. And, yes, the complicated, simultaneous feelings are definitely part of adulthood. Hoping that May will land a little lighter for you. ❤️

ahh I love this, thank you! One for the more outdoors days when the farm obsession wanes. x
